About Lynellen Nielsen

Lynellen Nielsen

I'm an artist, graphic designer, and photographer. I grew up in western Michigan, but moved to the north shore of Long Island in 1986. I am inspired by the lovely beaches, suburban parks, hiking trails, and the rural feeling of the east end. It's amazing to me that one can still feel alone in the woods in such a crowded place. I also love the cosmopolitan energy of New York City. No other place in the world is filled with such a cacophony of different people, aesthetics, styles, cultures, languages, and ideas. Yet somehow it all seems to work together to create a harmonious vibe. An amazing place. I love to create stylized and abstract interpretations of natural themes, using bold colors, various textures and strong graphic patterns....
